We are searching for a Project Manager -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will lead multiple integrated, complex project(s) with impact across TCHP. This is a position that will focus on business operations projects.


Position is remote but would need to be onsite project dependment.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for adherence to the Project Governance guidelines, including the approvals processes and project and reporting structures. Establishes project specific governance and conducts Steering and Work team meetings
  • Determines staff resource needs for analysts, programmers, vendors, user personnel, consultants, and equipment by assessing the size, duration, scope, and complexity of the project
  • Formulates, administers, and maintains the detailed Project Plan, using the Project Management tool, which will include all required activities, tasks, risks, issues, and resources requirements, leading to a successful and timely implementation. Provides regular project status reports as required
  • Facilitates, communicates, listens, and works with project team members and other Project Managers to continuously update the detailed project plan in addition to the risk and issues plan
  • Ensures documentation (i.e., change control, project plans, test plans, policies and procedures, disaster recovery) is complete, accurate, acceptable, and in accordance with organizational standards and policies
  • Plans and executes smooth transition of responsibilities to support staff at the completion of the project
  • Manages three important variables pertaining to projects: Cost, scope, and time
  • Provides leadership to staff or team member(s) to help achieve the goals of the project
  • Interacts with staff and leadership to understand the business need
  • Develops and reports appropriate project metrics
  • Analyzes project standards, methodologies, and impacts
  • Determines, analyzes, and formulates current practices, user needs, workflow processes, issues, and potential solutions on projects
  • Appraises alternative systems approaches for workability and economic feasibility
  • Coordinates activities and information dissemination with committees, TCHP management, and other necessary participants
  • Serves as representative/participating member of designated committees
  • Provides the goals, problems, and solutions to/with TCHP Management
  • Recommends solutions and provides advice on the implementation of the solution
  • Uses facilitation and interpersonal skills to manage conflicts within the project team and escalate and involve Supervisor where appropriate


  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years’ experience in business, project, finance, and/or healthcare experience
  • A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Biology or other business, healthcare or science
    related field can be substituted for two (2) years of the experience requiremen
  • PMP preferred
