Summary:

We are searching for a LVN Clinical Supervisor for our TCP Katy clinic—someone who works well in a fast-paced primary care setting. In this position you’ll supervise and direct clinical staff and gather information, assess and provide direct care to patients. We need someone who considers developmental age in approach to and preparation of patients.

Responsibilities :

• Supervises staff
• Assist with the collection of patient/family data
• Provides general patient care
• Administers medication
• Assists with education of patient/family
• Coordinates referrals
• Triages patients

Qualifications:

• Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

• High School graduate, GED or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing 
• LVNs: Current license/permit to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas 
• Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for health care providers
• One (1) year clinical experience
• One (1) year supervisory experience preferred
• Fundamental knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment
• Knowledge of related OSHA, CLIA and JCAHO guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality and filing system
• Ability to use thermometer, scales, sphygmomanometer/stethoscope, scalp vein needles, hearing/vision screening equipment, pulse oximetry, typanometer, basic laboratory, i.e., microscope, centrifuge, hematology analyzer, and specimen collection
• Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation, and dressing changes
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to act in a professional manner, to type, to file, to use multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copier and adding machine
