Summary:

We are searching for a Pediatrics Administration Advisor -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will support the Pediatrician In-Chief and work closely with the Pediatrician In-Chief on a wide variety of administrative and high-level professional duties, special projects, and initiatives involving the Pediatrician In-Chief's office and its priorities.

Responsibilities :

  • Meeting preparation and facilitation. Works closely with the Pediatrician In-Chief’s administrative assistant to remain apprised of and schedule upcoming commitments. Confirms objectives for meetings and recommends participants and best approach. Develops background information for Pediatrician In-Chief on the meeting.
  • Project Coordination/Management Serves as a key member of the Pediatrician In-Chief staff responsible for central coordination of activities for the office, including the timely flow of information to and from the Pediatrician In-Chief’s office. Develops and maintains an inventory of critical path projects in which the Pediatrician In-Chief’s awareness and involvement are key. Keeps the Pediatrician In-Chief aware of project status and variations from schedule or scope.
  • As appropriate, works with Development, Marketing, and both TCH and BCM public relations staff on message strategies and consistency; reviews and edits external communications and reports. Handles questions, concerns, issues, and requests on the Pediatrician In-Chief’s behalf; works to solve problems, mediate disputes, and work proactively with issues and people.
  • Special Projects. Performs special projects as assigned by leadership. Assists in the analysis and interpretation of data used in making decisions throughout the Texas Children's system.


Qualifications:

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Required Bachelor's Degree. Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field preferred
  • 5 years of project management or high-level coordination experience
