Summary:

We are searching for an Assistant Director of Pharmacy Business and Strategy -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will effectively facilitate the monitoring of specialty pharmacy business operations by overseeing analytic reports, quality, and performance indicators, identifying areas for process improvement, and evaluating data to develop competitive strategic planning to ensure the provision of accurate and efficient specialty pharmacy services. To provide strategic direction to operations and clinical services for the expansion of specialty pharmacy services. You need to be very strong in data analysis to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities :

  • Facilitates the creation and implementation of competitive strategic planning, market analysis, and growth plan potential for the Specialty Pharmacy program via data-driven analysis of operations
  • Provides oversight of financial analytics and assessment of the economic return of the program. Gathers specific data, provides detailed assumptions, and interprets data to make sound business propositions
  • Reviews data analytics for quarterly metrics, accreditation costs, revenue leakage
  • Monitors benefit investigation and conversion capture rates
  • Facilitates data gathering to foster clinic expansion, Limited Drug Distribution access, and value proposition by identifying opportunities for restricted access
  • Oversees pharmacy third party contract negotiation and evaluations, monitors PBM contract compliance, assesses prescription capture rates, oversees claims audits
  • Oversees compliance program


Qualifications:

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Required Bachelor's Degree with a preferred master’s degree
  • A Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a healthcare-related field may substitute for two years of this experience requirement
  • Required 5 years’ experience in financials or data analysis
  • 2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred
