Summary:

We are searching for a Medical Assistant II -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide patient care and excellent customer service in the Texas Children's healthcare setting. To assist in the coordination of flow and provider schedules to effectively manage patient care.

Responsibilities :

  • Demonstrates positive and effective interpersonal skills, communication, and customer service skills
  • Facilitates the appointment check-in procedure
  • Collaborates with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Provides high-quality, cost-effective patient care in collaboration with clinicians and in conjunction with the patient/family
  • Collects specimens and performs Point of Care Testing (POCT)
  • Completes check-out for patients and families
  • Facilitates patient flow as the scheduling master for the clinic


Qualifications:

    • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
    • Preferred College degree
