We are searching for an Assistant Director of Business Services - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will work together with other areas to provide ongoing support including payor reporting, payment operations, transactions, transplant contract administration, and all other unique payor relationship management. To direct patient access services, effective collection of patient information, and to establish an operating plan to ensure the Hospital's accounts receivable are liquidated according to established standards, compliance with Federal and State laws governing patient access, strategic information is provided for financial/clinical planning, and processes are conducted in a customer service-oriented fashion.

Responsibilities :


  • Ensures key processes have standards of performance that are measured, reported, and addressed.
  • Management and oversight of all payor reporting and database for the payor contracts to include management of payor reporting software.
  • Resolves patient access and reimbursement issues/problems by consulting with physicians, other Hospital departments, insurance companies, attorneys, and governmental agencies.
  • Directs key processes by monitoring and reporting performance statistics and explaining variances and adjustments when made.
  • Coordinates and/or directs process improvement opportunities and uses Hospital/IDS standard KIDS methodology to achieve desired outcomes. Ensures that improvement of key processes are prioritized, measured, and reported using metrics documentation such as performance indicators or quarterly reports to Quality and Outcomes Management.
  • Management of the Shell Center of Excellence Program to include patient relations revenue management, customer service, and reporting.
  • Management of operations associated with Out of State Medicaid payors, mental health agreements, maternal-fetal medicine, and single case agreements to include areas of process improvement, provider enrollment, claims management, collections, contract compliance, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with both TCPSO and TCH TDS operational departments to evaluate process workflows, identify opportunities and implement process improvement.
  • Reviews accounts are recommended for a write-off to identify performance issues and take action to ensure that uncompensated care is minimized.
  • Meets regularly with direct reports and staff to keep them informed and up to date with matters that impact their areas of responsibility

  • Required Bachelor's Degree with a preferred master’s degree in Business or healthcare administration
  • Required 3 years supervisory experience and 5 years’ experience in a healthcare or related service industry
  • Payment and Transactions Operations experience
