We are searching for a Senior Project Manager of Information Services -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will lead integrated, complex, multi-disciplinary and/or enterprise-wide systems projects. This role will be responsible for making decisions at the project level regarding systems implementation and interaction with other systems across the Integrated Delivery Systems in compliance with the organization’s strategic plans, JCAHO standards and I.S. policies and governance processes.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for adherence to project governance guidelines and Enterprise Project Management Methodology including the approvals processes and project and reporting structures
  • Establishes project specific governance and conducts steering and work team meetings according to the project specific communication plan
  • Collaborates with system leads (application and/or technical) to determine project team resource needs for analysts, programmers, vendors, user personnel, consultants, and equipment by assessing the size, duration, scope, and complexity of the project
  • Formulates, administers, and maintains the comprehensive Project Plan, using the project management tool and templates, leading to a successful and timely implementation
  • Facilitates, communicates, listens, and works with project team members and other managers to continuously update the detailed project schedule/WBS, risk register, issues log, and change register using the project management tool
  • Ensures applicable test plans are formulated and successfully executed for hardware, network, integration, and software acceptance, and in accordance with pre-defined success criteria for the project
  • Plans and executes smooth transition of system responsibilities to support staff at completion of project
  • Determines, analyzes, and formulates current practices, user needs, and workflow processes, issues, and potential solutions on complex projects
  • Coordinates activities and information dissemination with committees, Information Services management, and other necessary participants

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field required
  • 10 years of relevant work experience may substitute the bachelor’s degree requirement
  • 10 years’ experience in information systems selection, implementation and/or support required
  • 5 years’ experience managing medium to large sized projects preferred
  • Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field may substitute for one year of the preferred experience managing medium to large sized projects
