Summary:

We are searching for a Business Continuity Manager -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide leadership to all Business Continuity staff and will work closely with senior operational leaders across the organization to oversee the Business Continuity lifecycle.

Responsibilities :

  • Business continuity program leadership – program administration, crisis management, and business/disaster recovery – for multiple service areas, geographic locations, and/or business lines
  • Conducts hazard vulnerability assessments and business impact analyses
  • Determination of effective business continuity strategies appropriate to a diverse range of hospital activities    
  • Responsible for business continuity plan development and updates
  • Delivers plan and specific training related to the Business Continuity Lifecycle
  • Represents the organization at business continuity or business continuity-related events
  • Performs business continuity management (BCM) and crisis management/incident management as part of the Crisis Management Team


Qualifications:

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Required Bachelor's Degree
  • Required 5 years of experience related to emergency preparedness and management
