We are searching for a Manager of HR Leadership Development -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide leadership of the leadership development consulting practices ensuring the needs of the organization is met and upholding high standards of service and delivered value.

Responsibilities :

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads the Leadership Development team, providing operational and strategic direction to staff. Oversees strategies and goals for the Texas Children’s system regarding leadership development, including, leadership coaching, succession planning, and organizational design. Serves as an expert on high-level issues and ensures systems and processes directly align to and support organizational goals and priorities
  • Partners with staff and outside consultants to develop and implement high-quality leadership development programs at all levels of leadership
  • Manages team members and team activities by helping to establish guidelines for individual and team performance to ensure desired outcomes and to meet department and organization goals. Maintains responsibility for completion of work within the team and holds team members accountable regarding accomplishing job responsibilities. Measures customer satisfaction and provides other metrics to benchmark and analyze team performance
  • Provides performance coaching, development, work guidance, and appraisal of team member performance. Works with team members to enhance strengths and overcome potential limitations. Ensures staff are qualified, motivated, and challenged. Ensures a high-performing, mutually supporting, customer-focused team culture that is fully accountable to the organization for services & support delivered
  • Strategic & Operational Partnership with senior leaders and key HR stakeholders
  • Works extensively with senior leadership on Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and Organizational Design. Promotes Organizational Development programs and initiatives with senior leaders across the system
  • Develops positive working relationships with other HR leaders to ensure alignment of goals and objectives, coordination of services, and effective teamwork
  • Program Alignment, Integration, and Institutionalization - Ensures alignment of Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and Organizational Design activities to other organizational functions and systems (Leadership Success Profiles, Performance Management system, Diversity, Leadership Development, and Recruitment etc.). Develops strategies to move the function from being a source of processes to actively engaging with HR counterparts and line clients to improve the status of our talent pipeline, specific focus on improving bench strength for leadership/critical positions

Skills & Requirements

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Required Bachelor's Degree and a preferred bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline or a Master's Degree in OD/IO Psychology
  • 5 years of Organizational Development and/or Learning experience
