Summary:

We are searching for a Manager Value Based Care— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will initiate, secure, and monitor performance of value-based contracts and build a successful value-based care program for Texas Children's Pediatrics (TCP). The manager will be responsible for negotiation, strategy, planning, execution, contract language, rate pricing, revenue reconciliation, and payor relationship management for all value-based and pay for performance agreements on behalf of TCP.

Responsibilities :

  • Contract Management
  • Develops the value-based care strategy in collaboration with the leadership team and implements the strategy
  • Collaborates with providers, leaders, and other departments to ensure negotiated contracts can be operationalized
  • Reviews and provides feedback on financial incentive arrangements, projections, and proposals and counterproposals
    based on claims analysis
  • Engages and manages partnerships with payors who are participating in TCP’s value-based contracts
  • Oversees the administrative requirements of TCP’s value-based contracts to ensure TCP’s compliance with contracts
  • Ensures TCP’s deliverables to payors are met on time and within budget
  • Develops payor proposals and capabilities documents to provide to prospective payors
  • Submits value-based care performance reports on a monthly basis
  • Communicates cost of care and quality performance to leadership team, physicians, and organizational committees
    (Managed Care and Quality Improvement Advisory Committees) in a timely manner


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Knowledge of population health strategies, value based care practices, strong business acumen, and a solid strategic business planning background
  • 3 years of healthcare experience
  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Prior value-based contracting experience is preferred
  • Experience managing large-scale projects or initiatives
