We are searching for a Logistics Planner I someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist departments in developing project delivery design and execution methodologies related to small to medium in-house moves and relocations. Works with vendors and department contacts to ensure all aspects of reconfiguration requests are met. Also ensures vendor compliance and oversight of related budgets and purchase requisitions.

Responsibilities :

Functions as an inhouse coordinator 

  • Plans and implements large departmental moves and relocations (e.g., more than 20 workspaces/staff members) including furniture changes, workstation adjustments and equipment for operational projects 
  • Develops scope of work based on customer needs consistent with standards and objectives of Texas Children’s 
  • Develops budget utilizing departmental tools for operational projects to assist the customer in identifying and obtaining funding for move logistics, system/space commissioning, furniture/equipment procurement, and deployment, and operational make-ready needs 

Manages internal and external relationships 

  • Develops positive working relationships with project delivering team members and end-user groups 
  • Works with departments to identify unique move requirements and develop creative solutions 
  • Works with internal resources and/or logistics consultant in the development of move plans for each department 
  • Serves as primary liaison with end-user groups for move activities 
  • Responds promptly to internal and external customer requests 
  • Coordinates services in sequence with all project vendors. 
  • Manages and monitors the progress of move to identify and improve methods of delivery within the departments

  • Ensures complete information is obtained and shared by asking appropriate questions - who, what, where, when, why, how – for a thorough understanding of customer needs and issues at hand 
  • Takes appropriate steps to resolve issues in the best interest of the customer and organization within the guidelines of departmental policies.  Consults with department leadership to address conflicting concerns that arise

  • Associate's degree
  • 1 years’ experience coordinating projects in the design and/or construction industries and preferred project experience in healthcare
