Summary:

We are searching for a Senior Events Specialist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will coordinate all aspects of Texas Children's Hospital-sponsored events, community events, stewardship events, and miscellaneous events.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan and implement all aspects of assigned Texas Children’s ticketed, stewardship/cultivation and community events
  • Actively participate in the development of fundraising plans and goal setting strategies and plan and execute on-and off-campus tours, meetings, presentations, calls, vendor visits, and general communications
  • Evaluates assigned events and make recommendations to leadership for improvement based on event history
  • Actively participate in planning efforts for assigned hospital milestones and/or hospital priority events.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with event chairs, committee members, vendors, and volunteers
  • Evaluates event donors and make recommendations to mid-level and/or pipeline team to grow the relationship
  • Steward and cultivate relationships with event donors and prospects in collaboration with assigned officers.
  • Participate in strategy sessions with colleagues on key major gift prospect
  • Help drive response for Office of Philanthropy priority events and initiative
  • Participate in the creation of and help execute communication and fundraising tactics
  • Record and manage donor/prospect data, activity, management, and movement in the fundraising technology system
  • Help maintain the integrity of data in fundraising technology system knowledge and Skill
  • Broad knowledge of fundraising planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation
  • Broad knowledge of event fundraising planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities
  • Ability to effectively plan, set goals, execute tactics and drive for results to meet a goal
  • Strong, positive communication skills, both verbally and written, with a creative approach to building relationships
  • Must be a team player and collaborative contributor
  • Excellent presentation skills


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years’ experience in Fundraising, event planning, business, project management, and/or healthcare experience
  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
