Summary:

We are searching for a Project Management Office Manager -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible as the Service Owner for specified services identified in the Business and Technical Service Catalog. In the role of Service Owner, the position is expected to maintain performance within agreed upon service levels, manage and develop service, continuously improve the quality of service, and work with leadership to implement and retire services.

Responsibilities :

  • Leads a team of project management professional in delivery of a portfolio of IT Projects that can range up to $100MM annually, and aligns with products that we deliver through the electronic medical record, ERP, critical life safety and insurance solution
  • Develops best practices, techniques, and tools for program/project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics
  • Monitors incidents and ensures service-related incidents are closed within agreed upon timeframes
  • Allocates appropriate personnel and resources to ensure delivery of consistent, high-quality service
  • Acts as a contact for their respective services for customers and operations leadership by seeking to understand customer needs, providing information, responding to inquiries, investigating, and resolving problems related to the service, and educating customer on service
  • Provides training to new and existing employees on project methodology and project administrative tools.
  • Defines staff priorities and create measures and processes to hold staff accountable to those priorities
  • Works with IS Vice Presidents and Directors to identify and define program initiatives that improve internal IS support


Qualifications:

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related field preferred
  • Completion of the ITIL Version 3 Foundation Exam preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in information systems selection, implementation or support required
  • Management experience preferred
