We are searching for a Sr. Project Manager to lead integrated, complex, multi-disciplinary and/or enterprise wide systems project. Collaborates with system leads (application and/or technical) to determine project team resource needs for analysts, programmers, vendors, user personnel, consultants, and equipment by assessing the size, duration, scope, and complexity of the project.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages projects delegated by leadership including, but not limited to, business planning and development, strategic planning, financial analysis, development of affiliations and contracts, medical staffing, facilities planning and construction, and operations planning and development
  • Monitors progress against plan and budget. When necessary, adjusts plan with approval of project sponsors
  • Analyzes issues and data related to projects and presents findings to leadership for effective decision-making
  • Follows-up during and after assignments to evaluate the effectiveness of the project
  • Coordinates team goal preparation and writing, coordinates the tracking of progress and reports updates to executive leadership quarterly
  • Suggests and initiates improvements to team processes to improve efficiencies and communication between work teams
  • Provides services internal and external requiring a high level of project management and operations expertise
  • Actively participates in task forces and director-level committees. Represents leadership or any of their areas of responsibility on multidisciplinary teams
  • Consults with and provides guidance to senior leaders on issues that cross multiple departments within areas of responsibility; involves others within these areas as needed


  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field preferred
  • 5 years relevant work experience including 2 years of experience managing medium to large-sized projects required
  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field may substitute for two years of relevant work experience
