We are searching for a Senior Physician Compensation Consultant -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will plan, implement, and facilitate the management of the compensation practices and policies of the hospital for staff and/or physicians. This role also provides technical expertise on compensation practices, innovations, and legal practices.

Responsibilities :

  • Serves as consultant to management on compensation programs, salary administration and job/organization design for staff and physicians
  • Evaluates new and existing jobs using a market-based job evaluation system, which includes analyzing appropriate market data and internal slotting comparisons
  • Works with leaders to prepare items for presentation to the Compensation Executive Group (CEG) by facilitating discussions and presentation of issues in accordance with committee guidelines and protocols
  • Prepares annual compensation budget recommendations and presentation to executive leadership in accordance with project timelines
  • Recommends pay-for-performance guidelines and educates leaders on effective rewards strategies
  • Supports Texas Children’s and departmental initiatives by participating on and demonstrating awareness and knowledge of complex cross-functional teams/committees

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree in business, human resources, or related discipline preferred
  • Certification as a Certified Compensation Professional by WorldatWork is preferred
  • 2 years human resources, business, finance, analyst, or health operations experience required
  • Compensation experience preferred
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, MarketPay, JDXpert, and Kronos preferred
