We are searching for a Clinical Support Technician -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform a variety of duties which include daily stocking of bedside carts, transportation of patients safely to and from designated areas, picking up and delivering unit specimen/supplies/items as needed, daily cleaning and restocking of unit/clinic, cleaning and maintaining patient equipment, and inventory control.

Responsibilities :

  • Verifies supply levels daily and submits requisitions as needed, as measured by supervisory observation, verbal/written feedback
  • Stores supplies, equipment, and other department items in appropriate and designated areas per department requirements
  • Conducts pathology lab transports and Blood Bank transports within a designated time frame
  • Delivers/retrieves patient-related equipment as dispatched within established time frame
  • Inspects equipment prior to transport and delivers equipment needing repair to the proper location
  • Consistently verifies patient I.D. information against patient dispatch information to ensure accurate transportation of patients to the appropriate areas
  • Daily transports patients promptly to and from patient rooms and patient care service areas utilizing proper patient transportation equipment, as documented on dispatch logs and observed by supervisor
  • Cleans toys provided for patients’ use in assigned unit


Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption

  • 2 years related work experience required
  • A high school diploma or GED may be substituted for the two years of work experience
