We are searching for a Refrigeration Tech — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Refrigeration and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform inspections, planned maintenance, service and repairs to refrigeration equipment of all types, sizes and temperature ranges to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Provide notification of equipment shutdowns to appropriate leadership, departmental personnel, and Service Response Center Operators
  • Maintain documentation to accurately record equipment problems and failures specifically including but not limited to work order completeness refrigerant usage and recovery logs
  • Report major failures and equipment malfunctions to Manager
  • Perform troubleshooting and problem solving maintenance duties for refrigeration and associated systems and equipment according to standards established by management team
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge depth for refrigeration and associated systems according to

  • Ensures effective communication as demonstrated by maintaining good rapport and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.


  1. Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

  3. 3 Years Experience As A Refrigeration Service-related Technician Required

Hospital Experience Or Other Mechanical Systems Experience Preferred
